STILL not eating, when should I be concerned?
Hello everybody, I haven't disappeared off the face of the planet
Annndd... I'm still having issues with Prometheus not eating
The last time he ate F/T for me was on Jan 6
He ate a live Natal mouse on Feb 22
I tried feeding him a live rat sometime in early March and he refused it again
I know breeding season ends sometime in early spring so I'm hoping he eats for me any day now
I only offer him food once a month now to try and bother him less and it still doesn't seem to be making a difference
Any advice?

Well there's really nothing you can do to make him eat. He/She will eat whenever it wants to eat, just keep on offering it food and you'll do just fine.

Keep trying once a week.
Try downsizing his enclosure or switching to a tub, it may make him feel better.

His enclosure is already minimum size for him, and there's no need for a tub because he's been in a tank his entire life
When I tried once a week people told me to try less often

You have a scale right? Just keep track of his weight and when the loss becomes significant see a vet. Aside that offer on a regular schedule, check husbandry and make sure meals are appropriate. Aside that there is nothing you can do.

Re: STILL not eating, when should I be concerned?
On the topic of fasting and weight loss-- at what point is the weight loss significant enough to warrant concern? My own female has dropped 100g over the last two months (from 1,400g to 1,300g). She still appears and acts healthy as ever, aside from not eating. At what point should she see a vet? I don't really know what qualifies as unhealthy weight loss when they do this.
Thanks,

I would offer once a week, at most once every two weeks. I think your snake is young, maybe a yearling? One of my males went off food for 2 months and I offered every week. He just ate for me last week.
How long have you had your snake in a tank? Was it eating regularly for very long?

100g for a full grown BP isn't really too much. Now if you had a 300g BP and it lost 100g, then you should worry. I have had my girls poo up to 70 grams (and they are both still under 500grams) so keep that in mind . If she starts looking skinny, dehydrated, or you can see her spine. Then take her to the vet.
@pandora: I would try offering food more often now that spring is approaching. Other then that, I wouldn't worry too much. He will eat when he is hungry

I'm not sure if this was directed at me or not, but assuming it was:
I believe she's about 2.5 to 3 years old, and up until last October or so she'd been eating regularly in the same cage and setup. Only thing I've changed is adding a second heat panel on the cool side to help maintain temps in the winter--and this only after she'd been fasting for a month or two.
