Should I be concerned?
When I got this asf I thought it was just a bite on her tail, now it looks like this

And when I was cleaning tanks she was nursing the pile, but she was kind of twitching, then all of a sudden she skyrocketed out of the pile, I mean it was like a back flip, well any way, she sort wedged herself by the hopper and was spazzing, could this have been a seizure?

Re: Should I be concerned?
feed her off when she is done nursing. It will get much worse, and she will likely get them on her body and head too.
I only had one instance of tumors like the picture shows... That was from the first 3 rats I purchased. None of the descendants from that group ever developed any.
I see you live in florida... I would venture to say you probably got them either directly or indirectly from the same guy I got the line I had with the tumors.... Being that none of the descendants showed any symptoms, I would venture to say it has something to do with the breeders husbandry or feed choice.

Re: Should I be concerned?
I have 2 other females in the tank who delivered about a week ago, can I feed her off and let them care for her babies?
Who did you get yours from? mine came from a gentleman in Okeechobee

Re: Should I be concerned?
ASF's are all prone to tumors and warty growths, some more so than others. If she developes any more, you can put her down and replace her with one of her daughters.

Re: Should I be concerned?
Guess I am neurotic that way. I just euthanize them and toss them.
I never feed off a tumored rodent. But yes, I would concur, put her down.

Re: Should I be concerned?
The person you got them from might have been feeding them something high in Protein, which ive heard causes tumors. I cant back it up but if mike had the same problem that could be it.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Just let the other moms take care of the kids. You may loose one or two, but that is ok... they will be recycled.

Yes.
A local shop that probably got them from the same guy. They look just like the ones I got too.

I have to respectfully disagree. I have literally produced THOUSANDS of ASF's directly related to that original group. Great grand kids from that group have already been retired from breeding.... and I have NEVER had another tumor growth. I have absolutely no scientific data to back it up but common sense would tell me it has to do with poor feed. (not suggesting poor feed is being used by the OP... suggesting it was used by the breeder)
