with the economy the way it is, & only being 15, why spend money if you can get it free, call your local paper and ask them for their "end-rolls" (it will last you forever with 1 snake), spend an hour cutting what you need, and spend that $9 you saved on feeders. just a suggestion

As noted, ink is not toxic to them in the least. I just grab free weeklies the night before I know they are being taken back to the shop to be recycled.

And same with the temps, BPs burrowing is for security, give them a nice tight hide and they will spend their time in there. Any substrate usually ends up pushed out from them circling around.

Keep your temps constant and in range.

By that you mean weeklies?

Any newspaper suffices. I have a few racks at work that are refilled on Thursday AM, so I grab them on Wednesday nights on my way out the door.
