If you plan on getting more snakes, I suggest attempting to switch him to frozen. This way, you have more diversity as the animal grows and you can order 25 small rats at once for a lot less than 25 live small rats at a pet store.
I suggest starting with a Pastel. They're cheaper, and co-dominant so a bit less complicated with genetics and breeding. If you had an albino, you would only get hets from breeding to a normal right away.
Get prevent-a-mite just because it's handy to have around.
If you do get a new snake, quarantine it in a different room from your other snake for a couple months or so to make sure it doesn't fall ill and make your other snake ill as well.
