Re: Which should I get for him?

Getting a co-dom Hypo would not prove him to be anything. I'd go with a DH female.

Re: Which should I get for him?

How would it not prove him out? He is a pied possibly het ghost....unless I am missing something, I should have a good shot (50/50) of producing a hypo if I breed him to a honeybee. A DH female would be great, but I want to try proving him out on a visual before I spend the $$$ on a DH female.

What part of LA are you in?

Re: Which should I get for him?

A co-dom Hypo would produce Hypos even when bred to a normal, so you would not be proving him to be het for Hypo. You would be making your own Hypo het Pieds, though.

If you really want to see if it is het Hypo you will need to use a recessive Hypo female. I agree you should go with a visual, though.

    I'm in Slidell, oddly enough.

Re: Which should I get for him?

I must have mistyped something, Hypo is reccessive, by co-dom hypo I meant a honeybee (spider hypo) or POG (pastel hypo). So I would need the gene in him to prove him out. I wanted to go with a co-dom so I could get some "visual" offspring that were DH even if he didnt prove out.

    Where at in Slidell?

Now that makes more sense. When I read co-dom Hypo I was thinking along the lines of a Fire or something. lol

I'm in Oak Harbor, but my snakes are out by the old Sheriff's office.

Well don't leave me out Tim. I like to meet Herp people in LA, gives me somebody to hang out with.

Tim I still say you should go for Black Pastel after you get your Super Cinnamon.

Re: Which should I get for him?

    Hi,

Just to expand on my post earlier.

It's not that I don't think the ghost spied wouldn't be a genetic powerhouse - it's just that I think it would look almost exactly like a spied as only the head has a colour and pattern to be affected.

If I had to pick only one co-dom recessive mix to breed to him I would probably go for POG all the way.

That's assuming your main intrest is to prove the ghost one way or another of course.
