Does your snake listen to you?
So i just had a funny feeding experience. I went to feed one of my picky eaters (been just a little over a week since the last time she ate, rejected food twice). Opened her tub, lifted her hide to see her, and dropped the mouse in. It runs around, she ignores it. She starts to move toward the open part of the tub, rests her head on the water dish to look at me. So, i start to talk to her. "Go get it"...she still stares at me so i say again. "Go get it, its for you" she looks at the mouse, then back at me. "Go eat your food" she turns around and heads toward the mouse. Stops right infront of the mouse, turns back to look at me. "Go ahead, its yours"....BAM!! she strikes and is now eating it....i love it lol, just waiting for my permission. Does your snake do what you tell it to?

The only trick I have taught my snakes was to fetch the newspaper. It takes them a bit to get all the way up the driveway though. Stupid albino wont stop chasing cars

Re: Does your snake listen to you?
Technically, a snake can't listen to you as it doesn't understand. What we often do is we find something that we can associate the snake with doing, and we make ourselves believe it.
Not to throw off subject for a minute, but it's like Nostradamus who "predicted" the ww2 and the 9/11. If you really read closely about what he wrote, it was broad and it wasn't specific, and what people are doing now, is there believing that he predicted all this because in their mind, there finding something to match with that event, and thats what often happens with our pets.

I'm not quite sure you understand the comical side to this thread, it was meant to amuse us. Crack a smile once in a while!

Re: Does your snake listen to you?
Sounded to me like the OP was dead serious..... which I have to pull out, "must we humanize everything?".

I have great humor, but I highly doubt the thread was meant to be in humor, I think he was actually half serious when the thread was posted.
