    Re: My little holdback normals

    Hi,

    Kinda random really.

    The dad seems to throw slightly funky patterns - still within normal ranges though. The first clutch with a different mom are below. There were a lot of donuts on the back of those for some reason.

    This clutches mom is the one that keeps flattening herself at the moment and driving me nuts.

    And dad to both clutches is my scarred male;

    Here is the thread with pics of all the babies - Booger was number 4 and Raven was number 5.

    A wierd mix of black back and banded - all perfectly normal but all distinct.

    cute little holdbacks. black backs are so pretty, but the female is smashing. congrats and hopefully those lessers you want are in your future.

    I really like the big long splodge on the back of booger girl and the boogers on her nose, theyre both nice distinct features

    How did the dad get scarred? (just curious)

    Re: My little holdback normals

    Hi,

    Thanks guys - I was only supposed to hold back one but just couldn't choose in the end.

    The male was handed into a shop I worked in ( back in the mists of time ). We were told he wrapped himself round a lightbulb they were using for heat without a gaurd.

    When it started to burn he reacted the same way he would to any danger and tried to coil into a tight ball - round the bulb.

    Here's a post with some close-up pictures of the scarred areas.

    I had hoped to breed him back to one of his daughters this year to see if I could get some really odd patterns but she is only 1100g+ so will have to wait another year.
