Regardless if it has a pin hole, it isn't a closed vacuum system like a water bottle so it shouldnt make a difference. Sounds like you just need to tweak the valves tight enough until they release a low flow.

And also, might be a good idea to bleed the lines equally to get the air out.

Also, if you opened all the valves, did you put them back together correctly? If you tighten them all the way, they should NOT be leaking at all. Might have defective valves.
