Re: Anyone hit on butter/lesser clowns yet?

It surprises me that it hasn't been done yet because it seems like a combo that would be both incredibly beautiful and a genetic powerhouse. Good luck to all those shooting for it this year, I can't wait to see one.

I have a young Het Vin Russo/Het Clown male (400 grams with sperm plugs) who has been an inconsistent eater -- that might breed breed some Het Clown girls. Plan is to pair them early next month. A Clown Het Vin Russo would be the first step toward BEL Clown. I will have some Butter girls ready next year -- I hope.

As Tim indicated, there are many long-existing morphs that have not been combined until very recently -- if at all. I made 2 in my first breeding season last year -- Butter Cinnamon and Butter Yellow Belly. There are so many choices/projects available that any breeder can not do all the projects he would like in a perfect world.

I have no doubt that many other first time combos will be made this year as well -- a few of them will be common 2-gene combos. I look forward to the bi-product of breeders vision/decisions.
