Thanks Slim and others. I appreciate it. I couldn't imagine getting involved in something like owning a snake and not doing research first. Don't know what some people are thinking!

What a pretty little baby! Did the breeder warn you that you can't have just one? The addiction sneaks up out of no where, I tell 'ya!

I agree that it's great to see someone who has done their homework before jumping in. Now the bug has got ya . . . .

I think he's a normal, though I'm not experienced enough to know for sure. Can anyone tell me?
Very nice looking fellow. Just a small thing but do check that opening of his hide. It looks, though it just could be the picture, as if the plastic may be pretty jagged for him. Personally I like to use a small soldering wand to make my plastic hide openings. It tends to leave a slightly melted and non-jagged edge. (That reminds me I need to go buy that hot knife tip for my soldering wand!)

He's a healthy little guy, that's for sure. I did my homework and got him from a breeder. I asked lots of questions, too. I feel so bad for one I saw at my local PetSmart, though. The poor thing was very skinny and had a triangular shaped body, instead of round.
Sad those poor chain store snakes but you made the right decision to not support those stores and to get a nice healthy baby bp. Good for you!

Some of them just aren't and unfortunately that is hard for them and hard for the snake. Happily this site is able to help some of them.

Btw I love the name you picked for him!

Thanks. For his water hide, I melted the cut edges so it won't hurt him. I think I need to do it again, though, so it's a bit smoother. Today and tomorrow I'll be spiffing up his cage.
