Hearing study at UC with snakes

    http://www.uc.edu/News/NR.aspx?ID=9569

Check it out, they're going to look at snakes brains!

I used to go to school here, I thought it was pretty interesting to see a burm on the home page of the website.

Don't most burms just lay around?

If my room mate was in a class like that, I would soooo rub a dead rat on their clothes while they were sleeping

I know they sense sound by vibration. I'm pretty sure it's through their belly scales, not through their ears. I thought I have read before that they have some sort of internal ear structure. I assumed they were able to hear things, but it would be like if you held your hands over your ears, just very muffled and not clear.
