I got my first 2 litters a few weeks ago and finally got around taking some pics of them and their setup.
One of my enclosures, I have 2 others basically setup the same way and 2 50gal. longs for the grow up tanks. Yes, there is a lid for this tank.
Lots of babies out of this trio; several argente pied (my favorite color)
The only baby to sit still for the 1/20th of a second needed to take a pic.
I pulled the house off of one of the other trios and one of the females out of this group finally looks pregnant (or just really needs to go on a diet)
As a small side project, I'm keeping the friendliest ones aside to use for breeding. I'm curious how many generations it will take to make these guys friendly enough to be kept as pets. There are several people on my rat forums doing the same, so we'll all be comparing notes. The aggressive ones will be the first to be fed off.
