    Male dogs will mount other male dogs as a show of dominance. Maybe that would be why males snakes would lock with other male snakes. Just guessing.

    I think this could be a possibility as well. My dads two dogs do that sort of stuff every now and then, and I've definatley seen other two male dogs doing that.
