    mouse with blood on ears???

    ok so i went to the store to buy a rat for my BP and they were all out so i got a few mice to tie him over till they got some in. when i got home i was looking at the mice and one of them has quite a bit of blood comming out of its ear!! what can cause this and WHY the hell did they sell me a sick mouse??? needless to say tomorrow morning im going back in to get my $$ back and im on the hunt for somewhere else to get my feeders! just curious as to why this critter is bleeding, any ideas would be helpful, Thankx

    Most likely it got into a fight with another mouse.

    fur is pretty scruffy, not as nice and soft as the other one. it keeps scratching at it and i cant see any visable cuts... so i doubt it was a fight, but thankx....

    if you dont water them enough they will start licking others ears raw and such. that could also give them the scrufy look.

    so i got up this morning and the darn thing was DEAD!! am i ever glad i didnt feed it to my ball!
    i took it back to the store for a full refund and have sworn off that store for good! they didn't even seem bothered by the whole thing.
