Actually I would most likely get away with assulting him I don't have any run in's with the law and he does. I swear I have though of the what "if's" and the bat is so much nicer. Of course being an animal lover I though of getting a few vipers( also illegal) and have them live in my jewlery case as it's a antique stand kind with plenty of room for a sidewinder.

My house is like Seinfeld's... neighborhood kids just come in anytime they want, open the fridge/pantry eat whatever, ooogle the snakes (locked), harass the dog and stay until we kick them out... But, that's how I like it.

I'd rather they stay at my house rather than my kids go to someone else's.

I got the snackers on the bottom shelf and the do-not-touch on the top shelf. So they know not to touch those. They're all cool kids. I love where I live. It would be really a bummer if one of them ever decides to move and we get a "bad apple" neighbor.

I love the Castle Doctrine! I have every right to protect all of my property, and myself, and loved ones. I may use any means nessecary to get rid of the threat, up to , and including, deadly force.
I live out in the country, and my nearest neighbor, I cannot hear him make noise if I tried. I love where I live. Good luck with your neighbor issues.

Guy I knew from high school was out driving one day and got rear ended. Being the touchy hot headed sort, he grabbed his baseball bat got out of the car and headed back to the car that just hit him. The guy that hit him rolled down his window, pulled out a gun and shot him, then locked his doors, rolled up the windows and waited for the cops. Once the police got everything sorted out, the guy from my high school was charged with assault (in addition to spending a few weeks in the hospital) The guy who shot him got off on self defense, and I don't think he was even charged with the traffic accident.

Does anyone have the same issues with bad nieghbors? Mine have got to be the worst hands down! The guy has broke into our house and cleared us out, pretended to help my husband with his van and stole his DS, told his kids we steal off them and thats why there toys are missing( he sells them as I have witnessed him selling the boys new bike!), he's tried to brake in while we were on vacation but a little girl checking up on our baby bunnies caught him, He's crazy and has turned on our ourside tap quite a few time and has knocked on our back door late at night and ran off, threatened to beat my kids up and actually stated to my kids today that he was going to beat up thier handicapped dad, has domestic fights so loud that I can hear them through my house( a detatched!),The guy sells drugs right in front of his kids. Today I cought him telling his girlfriend he was going to call FACS on us because we allow the kids to play at the park unsupervised which is odd because his kids are playing WITH my kids! We have real winners!!!! at least thier yard is clean as he rakes the yard when he deals lol! What has been your worst nieghbor from hell?

This guy gives druggies a bad name. WHY THE HELL HASN'T HE BEEN JAILED FOR 10+ YEARS? Breaking and entering is supposed to be serious time.

The guy you knew from HS was totally in the wrong and deserved to be charged. The guy with the gun was just protecting himself. And since his car is an extension of his domicile in most states, it would be no different than if HS guy broke through the front door of his house with a bat.

Just sayin'.

If the OP were to protect herself and her family in her domicile with an object that is legal for her to own, she most likely won't be charged either.

Most states allow you to use lethal force to defend yourself during a breaking-and-entering, and I support people in exercising their legal rights.
