I put them in the incubator like 2 or 3 days ago and i opened it up to check on them. what i found is what looked like really damp eggs =[ I took out most of the perlite that was too damp and put in new stuff and only added a tiny bit of water to em. Is there any hope some will still hatch? I candled them and I can see the veins and all but like its like a yellowish red. If not, then i guess theres a lesson learned =[

As long as they havent molded up, they should be OK. To moist is BAD, better to dry than too wet. I dont use perlite so I cant comment too much on how to mix that. Maybe you could put them on something that will suspened them just over the perlite, light a screen or plastic light grate cover. That way even if the mix is soaking wet it wont touch the eggs so they eggs wont absorb the water and will remain fine. I have never done it this way but know many who have sucessfully with ball python eggs. Beardie eggs can incubate drier than BP eggs so be careful of soaking them too much.

couldnt find any vermiculite tonight at walmart.
picked up this stuff called jungle reptile bedding.
anybody ever use it before?
seems to be only sold in walmart since i googled it with no other results of it being sold anywhere else.

I think you just are not looking in the right section. Just about any walmart, home depot, lowes etc has vermiculite. You need to look in the gardening section.

well my ma went out for me and went to the gardening section and it was locked and they wouldnt open it for her cuz it was late er sumthing. so should i use this stuff she got me or should i just wait for vermiculite tomorrow? this stuff looks legit. it consists of "sterilized virgin organic soil, fine grain sand, vermiculite...didnt see til now, peat moss, orchid bark, and green tree moss" i think ima give it a shot. it says it can be used for egg incubation.

ya i just added the mix on top of the perlite. and made sure it wasnt too damp as it was before. didnt add water as well. will check on them tomorrow to see how theyre doing with the new stuff added. humidity seems to be holding.
