    Feeding question?

I just upgraded my little bp to a hopper. Actually she ate one hopper and one fuzzy last night. She finished eating and went to her hide to digest. I checked on a her a little later, and when she seen the movement in her room, she came out of her hide to the front of the cage and just looked up at me. Do you think she's still hungry? or maybe she was still in eating mode, she could have been mad i disrupted her nap. She's only 130 g. So a hopper should be plenty right. I bought both incase she didn't eat the hopper, and she ended up eating both.

    Re: Feeding question?

Most hatchling BP's can handle small-medium adult mice. so a hopper is to small i do think she is still hungry.

    Re: Feeding question?

Thank you! It was funny because we feed her in the middle of her cage, and it reminded me of a dog going to her food bowl. She came to the middle of the cage, and tilted her up, in a begging motion. I think it's time to switch to rats. I would rather do it now when they are small, then when she is full grown. Do you think they are more aggressive than mice? Will probaby try switching to frozen.

    Re: Feeding question?

i would move up to aduly mice first. since she is used ot eating mice and the smell. also it will help her get used ot eating larger prey.

then once she is eating a few times on the aduly mice you can try weanling rats/small rats

Actually it would be better to transition from adult mice to rat pups (which are the same size), than once the animal is switched and eats with consistency, move up in sizes.

By doing so the transition will be a little easier.
