    Re: Pied genetics

Another question... do the hets for pied always have a visual marker? And I have seen some normals that are het for pied but they look something like normals, their pattern is all broken and they have white marks on their sides. Is this the same for all het pieds?

    Re: Pied genetics

het pieds ( not proven but most to my knoweldge) have white bellies and a black line along the side of the belly .( may not be stating it right but i get a pics of my hets later today hopefully. to post.

as for the 500 pieds I would not give any money until you seen the snake in person. ther a lot of scammer out ther . I also seen peopel try to pass ringers off as pieds.

The amounto f white asnakes has ( pied) varies between the snakes it like something the snake genes decide as it incubating (fas as I know ) so the amount is a random factor like he patter nis on each snake random ..
Was married to 4theSNAKElady (still wish we were)
    Ball pythons
    0.1 pieds 1.0 banana pied
    0.1 het pied

3.1 sugar gliders ( non breeding pets)

What is the breeders name? You may be refering to het pied females, which sell for around $500 each. Pieds normally range between $1250 and $2000.

I don't know what to think. Seems like a steal. Email address says here names Kelly Forbes. I have already emailed back asking if I could drive to pick up the snake. Will let you know what she says.

If it is too good to be true it probably is. Why would anyone sell an animal for a fraction of its value. Once you have been around this hobby long enough you have heard all the scams and people taken by them. They prey on newbies who dont know any better. Be careful, you get what you pay for and sometimes you get nothing but a negative in your checking account.

Is she far from you? If not then you may be able to visually inspect the animal to make sure that it is in fact what she says it is. If that is the case, then that would be a steal. I know people who have sold animals at crazy low prices when in a jam. That could potentially be the case. I would not give any money without seeing the animal in person though.

    Good luck!

This is always a possibilty, the only thing you got to loose in that case is time and gas.
