If we are "shooting down" something every single time we don't, won't, or can't implement a member's suggetion about running the site...then we're probably expert marksmen by now.
We value member input and ideas...and have often implemented them. We enjoy doing so when we can. But they are not always practical or possible.
As for requiring a city or other location on ads in the sales forum...that simply falls outside the realm of practical. There's no way (that I'm aware of) to make it an automatic function where an ad simply can't be placed without that information provided. And our mods already do enough work in that forum to keep it running properly as it is. If they had to scour every ad for locations and then take the time to pull ads and PM members and deal with the complaints every single time someone didn't post their location....... nope....not gonna do that to my mods.
If a member is thoughtless enough that they don't put their location up on an ad, then the loss of the sale is their loss. It's no skin off anyone else's nose. And if you see an ad that you're really interested in...it doesn't take but a moment to shoot the member a PM and ASK where they are from.
I'm sorry if I fail to see a major problem here.
