This look good? Need 2 know asap!
Hey everyone!
Ive been super busy last couple of days and my crazy temps in my tub haven't been helping me out at all. I need to order an Animal Plastics cage ASAP because this tub setup isnt working for me. Temps wont get above 80 on the cool side, and trust me, ive tried everything. The humidity stinks because of the heat lamp i have and my flexwatt i have under the whole tub isnt working in my favor.
SO..
Im looking at getting the Animal Plastics T1 cage with a pro products RHP, white florescent , and belly heat (just incase).
He is only about 6months old and i would be afraid that with the T3 he would be to stressed. and using a divider in the T3 would throw off my heat.
So i need to know, Will this be a good setup for a male ball python?
Im wanting to order this tonight, 4 weeks for getting it built stinks though : (
Thanks,
Mike~

Is the tub too big? Do you have a pic of the tub, and the weight of the BP? Oh, and you said it won't go above 80 on the cool side. 80 is fine on the cool side.

DON'T GET THE LIGHT!!!
I have that in my 15" cage and it heats the bottom to over 90*. I wasted $40 on it.
The T3 will be fine. Just add a LOT of crap. Just make newspaper props if he won't eat. I'm quite confident he'll be fine. Leave very little floor space!

In a diff thread i made i have a few pic's, but there not to updated. Right now its staying at 79.9 cool ambiant, 85-86 in warm hide, 74-74 cool hide. He would only stay in the cool hide untill i moved the warm hide away from the heat bulb, i think it was getting a little too hot for em.

Thanks for saving me $40 bucks!

I don't have experience with babies in large tanks, but I think he'll be fine. I suggest just putting the water bowl, hides, whatever else you have in there. Then put the whole cage floor FULL of props of newspaper. I think that'll work!
EDIT: The T1 looks great to me... I have a divided 3x2x15 cage with a 9x12 Pro-Products RHP in there... I think that'll do a perfect job, because the T1 is almost identical to the cage I have (divided).
I plan on keeping both my balls in those 24x18x15 enclosures...

I would personally go for the T3...with a RHP...u won't need a secondary source..RHP will heat to watever temp u need and give u a nice ambient. I have an 80 watt RHP in m 3x2 and my temps are where they have to be..and my room can get to like 65 degrees at night

Thanks for the reply's dutch & chet!
I actually just e-mailed them for a quote on a custom sized cage, one that will fit perfect in a different part of my apartment where i think the temps will be better.
The size is 3'Lx19"W12"H
A little smaller than the T3 and a little bigger than the T1
Let me know what ya think!

Thanks again

No problem!! If you want better view ability, I recommend 15". 12" is just as good though!
