What does she look like to you? Please comment.

Jan found this girl on Craig's List. She was advertised as a normal, but when we went to look at her we were not sure. She doesn't look like our normal male, or any of the normals at Petco. These pics are terrible because I couldn't get the lighting right. But it's the best I could do, sorry.
She doesn't have any black, even though it looks black in the pics, it's actually dark brown. I have a book titled The Ball Python Manual. This book has plenty of great pics showing various BPs. Of all the pics in the book, the closest thing that she matches is a Cinnamon Pastel, in our opinions.

Anyway. We really liked her, and bought her. She is a 10 y/o and 4' long. She is really laid back and easy to handle. We think she's great.

    It's not a cinnamon.

    Just a normal.

She's a Normal, but those high white sides are really cool. If she could throw those sides to here offspring, there could be some nice potential for a pairing her with a male Spider.

I have a male normal that has the exact same coloring and markings. I quite like them, a dark snake with high white sides.

The beauty of the normals. They are quite diverse.

To tell you the truth... We bought her because we really liked her, but I think we would have bought her anyway. Jan and I consider her a rescue case. I won't say who we got her from because we're not the bad-mouthing type. But I will tell you about her conditions.
Her water bowl had stains in it that could not be scrubbed out. Her enclosure had month-old feces in the bedding. They said it had not been cleaned because they ran out of aspen. We also got the enclosure in the deal. The first thing I wanted to do was clean it out and give her some fresh aspen. When I scooped out all the old aspen I found urine stained news paper on the bottom.

She also had no heat lap, and the UTH is too small for her body. I guess she had to warm herself in sections. They also said that sometimes she wouldn't eat for months. The people also fed her in her tank. Sometimes leaving live rats in there for days, and she has the scars to prove it. There are holes and chew marks on her hide from rats. They told us that she has not eaten in 3 weeks, so we offered her a medium rat and she acted afraid of it. We'll try again in a few days with a F/T.

It breaks our heart how some people can neglect such a peaceful animal.
