Re: Someone's offering me a piedbald for $300... could it be a scam?

There is no question its a scam! This same scenario has happened time and time again. I think it would be fun to hear what he has to say when you offer to pick the animal up, instead of have it shipped

Re: Someone's offering me a piedbald for $300... could it be a scam?

When I hear Pied and $300 in the same sentence, I automatically think scam. That's about what the Camaroon scammers were asking.

Tell the guy you will only pick up the snake in person, and no money will chage hands till you see the snake. That should run him off.

ok now...maybe i jus believe that humans are over all good, but i think theres no question its a sscam or no way its real is just a little too far..maybe this guy really does have no need for money and would like to see someone whod give it a good home have it. Unlikely, but a very real possibility. Id explore till theres no question if its a scam/real then make up your decision about what to do.

If he won't do it in person then it is a scam.

Please let us know who he is so we can avoid him.

He stopped responding, so I'm guessing it's a scam. I'll give him one day to reply and if he doesn't I'll link you guys to his pages and email...

Sorry but its a scam period! No person is going to give away a $1000+ snake for $300 not in this lifetime .

Re: Someone's offering me a piedbald for $300... could it be a scam?

I got one of these from Kiiji...

First he had a pied for $300 in NY (says the ad). Then he says he needs to get rid of his collection (you have to buy all 10 of his pieds for $300 each). Then after I said, I'll pick it up, so where in NY to meet him? And then he said, oh, I will ship it to NY, but I can ship it anywhere. Then he mentions he has all the paperwork ready and CITES certificates. And so, I find out he's not in the US - he mentioned a place in Africa, can't remember the name. So then he makes out this spiel that he had to go to Africa for school and he brought all his snakes there... So, then we ask how are we gonna send him $3,000 then... and so then he says, give me your bank number... okay, so, if i'm sending HIM money, what would he need my bank number for... anyway, we kept it up for quite a while - like over 2 weeks - making it seem like we are ready to send him the money. So then, we ask for a picture of the 10 snakes all in one picture. Hah hah... no more replies...
