Re: My First Ever Ball Python, Indica!

Congrats on the pastel. I too just got home from the Tampa show and also bought a pastel from Mike Cole. It was my first show and i loved it. Anyway i think that tub should be fine due to the cozy-ness of the footprint. it's amazing what you can create with dollar store goodies. i made hides from plastic pot planters. anyway, congrats and to the addiction.

one more thing... and i'll probably regret this but...
Koolaid - i spoke with mike about those other pics where people claimed to have created additional panda's. he says adamantly that he has the only one and the other claims are people who used his pic. now, i have not seen the other pictures and i don't want to sound like i am defending a man whom i just met... but it seems if this is a sore subject for those individuals... then the simple solution would be for them to post a pic standing beside the snake. i mean, if he claims he has the only one, and someone else has one too. then that would decrease the value of his, thus "doing him financial harm." so it would be in the additional peoples benifits to just prove it. just my humble opinion.

    sorry for the

As far as I am aware of Michael Cole DOES have the only Panda Pied, produced by Ian G. I have several girls myself from Michael.

What most people do is set the "indoor" temp, instead of clock time. There's a button on the acu-rite that can change these two.

Most people have the unit on the cool side and have the probe go on top of the substrate under the hide. This way you only need one unit.

there is a really easy way to tell if there really is only ONE panda pied... just look at where the black pattern is in all the pictures and see if its in the same spot... all the pictures i found the pattern is in the EXACT same spot, and shape.

It looks good. That little girl is going to be very happy in her new condo.

You could go with a shorter tub, I keep all mine short (as do most people). At most my adults get 6 inches or so.

But if she is content and not roaming around too much, then it is likely OK.

QFT. Ian Produced it and Michael bought it. There are Super Cinny Ringers out there but no Super Black Pastel Pieds other then the one that Michael has.
