    he is drinking all of a sudden...

    my bp came out of his hide and went right to his water bowl and started to drink out of this. i have never seen him do that before. im sure its normal but why is he doing this.. besides the fact that he is thirsty!

    It's normal, just not common for me to catch my snake doing it.

    I know my geckos drink from their water dishes also, but I've only ever caught one of them drinking once.

    i mean i know everything has to have water to live but i have had him for about 2 months now and this is the first time he has drank...

    You probably just haven't seen him do it before. Trust me, they drink. I just watched mine gulp down a ton this afternoon.

    I see my snakes drink all the time. Kinda odd that you are worried or wondering why he is drinking, as you said, hes thirsty.

    you know what ..... now that i think of it i have woken up in the morning and noticed a good amount of water that is gone. lol. i guess thats him. haha. wow. i never put 2 and 2 together. duh!!!!

    Unless you are nocturnal like they are, you not see them do a lot of things. Sometimes you get the ones that like to be individuals, and they display these things for you. I have only seen my snakes drink a handful of times in the years of ownership.

    Yes, all snakes drink, lol. I sometimes catch my snakes drinking, and it's usually at night. Since they are noctournal, but I don't have a BP. I sometimes catch my anaconda with her head submerged in the water bowl also. lol.
