    Re: Dumeril's Ground Boa?

They are great snakes. I have 3 of them. 1 yearling and 2 adults. They don't require much height in their enclosure, as their name might suggest. I keep each of my adults in a 4 foot wide enclosure; which is also 2.5 feet deep and 1.5 feet high. My yearling is in a smaller glass enclosure, as he is still a young one.

These snakes are typically very mellow in my experience, sometimes I let the adults chill on my neck, etc.

Yes, these guys are ambush hunters; they love to lay low, hide in the substrate, wait, and then BANG!!!.

YEah I got a little Dummy and she is awesome. I just love her. Not to mention that they are so gorgeous. Mine is soo calm and has a great feeding response. I would recommend for anyone looking for larger snake than a BP. They get a nice size but still manageable.

Ya'll really need to convince him. He decided against a nice looking granite berm and I told him he needed to get a boa. lol.
