Re: Is it normal for a snake to be cold?
Well, seems like the log hides have been fully covered, so get something better than those and you'll see your girl quit cruising. But, your tanks are pretty big if she's a juvie.
When I temp gun my BP's, their surface body temp is usually about 79-83 degrees if they are on the cool side, and about 85-89 degrees if they are on the warm side. I've never measured a body surface temp higher than 91 or lower than 74.

Re: Is it normal for a snake to be cold?
Maybe I have warmer hands, but measuring the temps shows the snake high temp at about 88F and it feels slightly cool to my touch.
The only time I've ever felt a snake that felt WARM was when they were overheated and I measured(with a temp gun) the snake at 97F.
The best way to measure is always with either a digital thermometer, or a tempgun.
