Re: Anyone here like classic cars?

I own (well, the title is in my name but it sits and my Parents house) a 55 Dodge Royal Lancer. My great grandfather bought it new from the dealership he worked at in 55. Since his death it has skipped around to a few houses, and it left the family for a while. My dad found it in the trees a while back and couldn't let it get away again .. so he bought it and started working on it.

The whole body needs to be loved, but the engine has been rebuilt since he bought it. It was the first production Hemi ever placed into vehicles. I can't remember the size, but it's fairly small.

Sweet! Chris has a car that looks similar, but I know it isn't the same. I love me some old muscle cars. My dad's got a firebird sitting in pieces at home. He hasnt driven it since I've been alive. Something about the rumble and chug chug chug of an idling badass car.... OOoeee.

But yes, I am a big fan of the old muscle cars, and I'm cool with even the new generation dodge challenger.

The best car I ever owned was an A body Mopar..

    a 1974 440 Plymoth Duster. The 440 wasn't a factory option I had that put in from a 68 440 Roadrunner

Ashtin has a '74 VW Karmann Ghia sitting in her mom's garage. It needs a lot of lovin but wouldn't take much to get it running.

She jokes around and says she wants to put a Porche 911 motor in it.

VERY nice Duster, I bet it demands respect!
We are mainly chevy people, But I would absolutely love a nice International Scout. That would be my little dream, The other half says it's the next one on the list after the Nova has her work all done. Patience is a virtue lol
