Car + light pole NOT good
We were hanging new drapes in the bedroom the other night when we heard and felt a huge crash and the power went out. I went running down stairs and into the front and there was a ford sitting there in the middle of my yard. I started pounding on the windows and no one responded, I ripped the front window out and found a woman inside as andrea and justin called 911. She was unconscious for awhile but came around after a few minutes. They had to close our street for almost 2 hours to get her out of the car and the electrical lines out of the street. I think she's going to be ok, she was fairly with it after a half hour or so. She went off the road, went into the neighbors culvert, flew over their driveway (airborne) went threw several pine trees that separate our yards, hit a huge ornamental rock in our front yard and then took out the light pole. All of that to avoid an animal in the road.
We had to fire up the generator for the building and had electric crews here until around 3 am replacing the pole and running new power to the house. Andrea and ethan went to her parents once the could get out of the driveway. Ethan thought it was great having 3 ambulances and 2 fire trucks parked in the driveway with lights and sirens blasting.

geez.. she's lucky she's alive. I love animals, but sorry I'll hit the animal if there is no way to safely stop.

Wow, crazy story. I am glad that she is going to be ok. Moral of the story, next time you see an animal in the road, don't swerve.

Re: Car + light pole NOT good
Glad she's okay and glad that pole and rock stopped her if her car would have continued onward and possibly hit your home. Wonder how fast she was going to get that much going on.

It was less than 10 degrees outside but no ice or snow. She just swerved and lost control. She really is lucky to be alive.

I dont think anything was wet. Her car sides arent wet, her tires arent wet (you can see the fluids/wetness flowing down the treads in the last pic), there isnt any snow on the ground. She must have really been cruising.
