Has anyone crossed these yet?
I was talking to a couple friends the other day about these crazy ball python hybrids lately bieng produced. The burmball come up.We wondered what would be produced if you crossed a albino burm female(get more eggs this way lol) and a albino ball python.I know both being albino might not do much for colors. Then we wondered what a burm and spider ball would look like .Does anyone know if either of these have been tried yet?

Re: Has anyone crossed these yet?
albino ball x albino burm would result in a snake that looked like you crossed a regular ball x regular burm, but be a gene carrier for both forms of albinism(I'm sure that they are different forms of albinism). To my knowledge, people have avoided crossing mutated genes into hybrids.

How are the genes differant? They are both recessive. Its not like its a lavendar albino to a regular albino.

Re: Has anyone crossed these yet?
Has anyone ever done burmese cross ball python? Keep in mind that if the genetic makeup is different enough, or the mechanics of breeding/fertilization are different enough, then the cross isn't possible.
I would be surpised if the mechanics of albinism in burms and ball pythons is similar enough to be on the same allele (assuming that the cross is possible). This is all just a guess.

The genome of both species are different. Well, enough for them to cross but still different.
Not because both albino gene are recessive that they result on the same allele on each specimen.
If they do, it would be a lot of "chance".
A lot of ghost and axanthic line, look the same but they are not compatible, that's because they are not on the same allele.

Why? Health reasons, moral reasons, incompatability?
I know nothing about hybrids but they sound cool. Yay for playing God. lol
