Does the "chicken broth trick" actually work??

I have read that birds are part of a wild BP's diet.

Chicken broth is frequently recommended. It did not work with my bp though.

Ball pythons are ground dwelling ambush predators. They may take an occasional bird should the opportunity arise, but they would never be a major food source for them.
