Wanna see something cool???
So here is a story for yah..
Are you worried about getting bit?
Well... in keeping any animal, you can and will more than likely get bit more than once.
Here's my most recent bite story.
________________________________
Once upon a time, last friday, my friend Lewie and I were cleaning tubs.
I was doing something somewhere in the room...
All of a sudden, I hear "Heather, I need your help... She's pretty pissed off"
I go over, and I see one of my beloved huge girls in her CB70 tub pretty pissed off..
So I, being the all knowing snake woman that I am , I was like "Naw, she just needs to calm down a bit.."
So I reach in to poke/touch her. (When in doubt, poke!!)
I generally touch them so that they shy away so that things can be done.
While my hand is open and ready to touch, I GET BIT!!!
This is one of the more interesting bites I've had, and I have to say, I'm pretty proud that the last time I got bit was October 6th, 2008.

The odd thing about this bite is that she actually got stuck on my hand for a bit, and I was kinda wondering why...
But I brush it off..
So I go, wash up, and go about my day, proud of my battle wound.
I show it off several times that weekend (Right, Raul??)
So a few days go by, and my hand still hurts a bit in one area...
It's pink and hurts when I touch it..
I go about my day again...
Weds rolls by, and I finally get the nerve in the shower to check out my wound again. It's obviously irritated, so I push...
Something is coming out.. Wierd!!!
I push it all the way out, and LOOK AT THAT.

A tooth.
Andrea Bocelli seems to think it's funny...
I think it's kinda amusing myself. I had a snake tooth in my hand for 5 days!!

My macro function on my camera is not too hot, but you get the idea, right??
So what is the point of this whole thread, other than to brag about what a badass I am??
Make sure to pay attention to your animals, and to the wounds they inflict.
There could be something left over...
And make sure to disinfect.
Learn by doing
Keep yourself safe.
