So, this past Friday, I got a call from a lady local to me, who said that she was picking up crickets, and the Petsmart gave her my phone number (they give it out to anyone who buys a ball python, but one lady gives it to anyone if they have any kind of reptile).
So this lady tells me that she has a leopard gecko that belongs to her son, but he's lost interest in her, and would I be willing to take her. I need to learn how to say no. So, I agreed to meet her on Sunday, and was very concerned what the condition of this animal would be.
I was so relieved by what I saw when she opened the hatch of her SUV.
This old girl is about 10 years old - she was with her first home for about 8 years, and then went to this family (they are friends with the original owners) for 2 years.
She came with everything.
My plans are to foster her through a normal QT period, then see if I can't find a new home for her. But she's a sweet, very sweet girl. But leos just aren't my thing. They're more Karl's and he has three of his own girls.
Anyway, here's Sunny (the name she came with).
