Well I now have two more kitties- 5 total. These boys are brothers and from the barn where my mom boards her horses. Mom has been fostering them for a few months now.
Daulton has a bone infection and permanent brain damage from a run in with a horse (no horse sense what-so-ever!) He is on antibiotics for the next several weeks to hopefully clear up the infection. Otherwise he will need a partial amputation of the foot bone. Poor little thing has his head cocked almost totally to the side due to the head trauma. He is the sweetest little thing though, and so happy!
Dodger is a chronic sneezy kittie, but other than that is a happy, healthy, VOCAL little guy. He is the most affectionate cat I have ever met. Purrs nonstop and loves to snuggle
I brought them home tonight. They are checking out my daughters room (their room) for now. We plan on introducing them to the others slowly over the next few days. Right now, they are fascinated with my daughters pet rats. Ratties may have to move to another room for a few days. Barn kitty interest is not something I feel too safe with.
SO was forwarned- he wouldn't let me keep the last stray that found it's way to me. This time, he didn't have much of a choice. Mom couldn't keep them and finding a home willing to take both boys together, much less a special needs kitty just wasn't happening. At least he is taking it wellOf course he is used to me bringing in new scale-kids!
Onto the pics
Daulton- yes this is how he holds his head most of the time.
