Well this is something that just irks me, I don't know if it even bothers anyone else. People around here throw away everything, a lot of it is still perfectly good (how I ended up with 4-10gal 1-20gal, and 3 bird cages)
Just 2 days ago one of the neibors was taking 3 vacumes to the dumpster, I asked if I could have them and they said "sure, but thier just junk"
So I took them home thinking, maby if i needed any spare parts for the one I had at least that was worth it. I dropped one on the way up the stairs...oops, the other 2 made it up intact. I plugged them in and guess what, they both worked just fine, they needed cleaned out, and one needed a new belt, but that was it. One was the exact same model as the one I already had, so I had the spare belt to fit it, the other was mauled by puppies, who ate the hose in a matter of seconds.
Any way now I have one totaly perfect vac, that someone was just gonna toss in the garbage, because they were too lazy to see all it needed was a belt. And my old vac, that I got when the resturant I worked at closed 4years ago, (and they were gonna throw that one away too)
I recycle everything! I just hope with this down economy, and all the people who can not afford much anymore, people can fix more things rather than just throw them away.

Of course if they really want to get rid of their stuff so bad, give it away to someone who needs it.
