I have had my female ball for about 6 months now and everything is going great thanks to all the help I have received here on this site.

I was wondering though, since my snake is a female and is being kept strictly as a pet - no breeding intended - will she ever produce eggs or "go into heat" for lack of a better term.

This may be a stupid question but I just didn't have a clue. She is housed alone in her cage and will always be an only "child" LOL.

Also, can anyone suggest a great book dedicated to Ball Pythons that is not too scientific - something for the novice??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
