I have bred leopard geckos for 4 years but currently don't have a male right now!! Sucken eggs can mean infertile also if they were just layed they will be soft and sucken in but make sure the humidity is around 80-100% humidity when incubating and also I would incubate them in a incubator because room temps will take a long time for them to hatch!! If you want male leopard geckos babies then incubate at 88-90 degrees and for females 68-80 degrees. You can candle the eggs at around 3 days and see if they are fertile, they will have a red glow or veins forming and if they are infertile they will be clearish yellow, but always wait to be sure in a week or two if they are fertile and if not throw them out!! Thanx for the input. I did read up a bunch before doing this, I have them incubating at 82F and 97% humidity, so I am trying!

Awesome Patrick, congrats on those eggs. Dimpled can be infertile, but doesn't always mean infertile, try covering the eggs with a wet paper towel over night and check them the next morning, and see if those dimples have popped out.

I think that 68 degrees was a typo. 78 degrees is about as low as I'd go incubating Leo eggs. I generally go 79-83 degrees for females, 84-87 degrees for a mix, and 88-90 degrees for males.

Pattimus, If you don't find the eggs right away they will be dimpled to some extent. Moisture will quickly swell them up to firmness. I have found that any eggs that get laid out in the open are infertile. I provide a Tupperware type egg laying box full of wet sphagnum moss with a door cut in the side rather than the top to retain humidity. Each female lays plenty of eggs through the season so don't worry if the first ones don't work out. The first set of eggs laid by a female are often infertile and after that they are good.
