I wish I had paid attention before now, but the last several feedings I have done with my 06 girl I have noticed that the skin between her scales is very pink. It's only under her head and a short way down her neck, and I don't know if it has always been like that or not. I want to say the skin is usually white, but I don't remember. It's not a burn, as her heat pad is controlled by a thermostat, and I haven't been thinking scale rot, b/c it's just the skin that is pink, the scales look perfectly normal. I only see it when she is feeding and the scales separate when she swallows. Also, I was thinking if it were scale rot, wouldn't it be on her belly, which is always in contact with the substrate, and not her chin and neck. She almost always has her head resting on her body, and not on the aspen.

I was also looking for some feeding pictures to compare. I usually don't like feeding pics, but now that I want to find one, I can't. I was hoping to find one that shows the underside of the head when the snake was eating.

Thanks! ^_^
