Hi,

Normally a couple of days - the time changes as they get older though and sometimes even from snake to snake.

One of my girls takes forever to shed from first signs to the actual disrobing.

But younger snakes are normally known for shedding in a nice short cycle and , since they are growing faster, more often too. Don't panic if the shed isn't perfect as the mites etc and the stress of new homes can all affect the shed - as long as it all comes off I never pay that much mind to how many pieces it is in.

When you have the shed skin in front of you it is a good habit to check to make sure the eyecaps came off ok and that the tip of the tail also came off. Oh and make sure there are no stuck bits that encircle the whole body if you can. Be warned they also tend to poop and Pee when they shed so you will probably need new newspaper and a clothespeg.
