I got 2 baby ball pythons (a fire and a pastel) and I was going to get a male fire to breed to them, however now I'm thinking I should get a lemon pastel as well as the fire, then have the fire breed to the fire and the lemon pastel breed to my pastel, producing supers of both, then breed those together to get fireflies off of the offspring.
So do you guys think I should just go with the fire and then breed him to both, or should I make supers of both? And both of these snakes are fairly cheap, so money really isn't an issue here, and I will be building a rack system to house all 4/5 ball pythons I will have, so housing isn't a problem. The only problem is waiting another breeding season for fireflies, which pretty much just means, are super pastels worth it enough for me to wait like 2 seasons to produce fireflies? (I already have to wait until late next season before I can breed these guys off, and then I could just swap who I breed with who for the following season, thus giving me 2 clutches of fireflies). The only thing I was looking to make was the black eyed leucistic, but 60 dollars for a female pastel was just too much of a deal to pass up on.
