So, it finally happened. After 2+ years working with snakes, I got bit. The perpetrator was Mabel, my 5 foot, 2500 gram BP. This girl is always hungry. She will easily have 2 small rats in one sitting (& more if I let her), and she'll be looking for food again in a couple of days.

I don't know what happened exactly. I was cleaning her tub and holding her (like I always do), and then she just bit right into my forearm. She let go immediately after I ran her under the sink, though. Looked and felt like someone was pinching my skin really hard, but I hardly felt the teeth (there was quite a bit of blood, though). I'm kinda glad it's over with & now I know it's not that bad (especially a feed strike from a huge mama like this one. Could it get worse?). But my BF is a bit traumatized...lol. He was already scared of the snakes before...
