In my snake room I have a few breeder colonies of asf's. Now they dont stink like regular mice and rats but every now and they you do get a wiff of something.

Whether its the garbage bag of fresh snake poo or the bag full of freshly cleaned out asf bedding that smells so nice, I'm not sure... But what I do know is that I picked up the above odor eliminatior and a half hour later the room smells like there's nothing in it.

    I am amazed.
I gave in! I admit, we broke down and finally tried this little thingy out. Winter is coming and I had been debating whether or not to leave my window fan in for exhaust in the rat room. Well, just for safety we took it out when we went to chicago. We cleaned the rat tubs and they were by themselves for 2 days with no fan exhaust.

We came home from Chicago and yes, the rat room STUNK! (Amazing, I know).

So, we bought the little air purifier recommended. Stuck it in the rat room, and ZERO difference.

Like I expected, this thing is worthless if you have more than one bin of 4 rats. I didn't expect a $15 dollar machine to work, and it really didn't.

It's a simple carbon filter over a slow moving fan. A year ago I had built myself a much larger filter much like this using several layers of carbon filter on a bathroom fan to little avail. I should have known this wasn't going to help.

So people, if you want true odor control, buy yourself a heavy duty large air filter with carbon for odor, or use an exhaust fan, (which truly does work!!)
