    Smile Ugandan herps

    Some of the better photos from my recent holiday in Uganda. Got a new camera which helps some but I am still a terrible photographer although they are better shots than the Madagascan ones I uploaded a few years ago.

    Went out to visit (and collect!) my wife who had been working in a hospital there. From a wildlife POV the main focus was primates (I got to fulfil a long held dream to see wild chimps ) but we did see some nice herps.

    The highlights were the huge Nile monitors and the vivid agamas. Disappointingly I didn't see a single snake, especially since I visited both rock python and gaboon viper territory. It is an amazing country for wildlife as you can see the transition from East African savannah to the Central African rain forest.
