Would a snake still eat if it was stressed out? We had a bit of a fiasco this evening when my BP got a huge mouthful of aspen during a strike at a live mouse - there was a large splinter she couldn't get out, and I had to pick her up and pluck it out with tweezers. Snake looked annoyed with me after this.

She was still in hunting position, though, and then proceeded to strike and eat a second live mouse, and then got into the 'S' strike position for another (I zombie-danced the first one she'd killed) which she also struck and ate.

I just hope that by still acting/being hungry, she wasn't too bothered by the mouth/aspen/tweezers incident... I put paper towels down over almost all the tank to prevent swallowing of substrate, but the live ones just have to go the one place there isn't a towel. I'm SO switching to F/T from now on!!!
