I have a double sired clutch from my favorite normal to a het orange and a pastel.
This snake was HUGE and built and was gravid for an eternity before giving me nine eggs.
I am on day 47, the eggs are dimpling like crazy (humidity is good) and the babes are super busy. Everytime I check or candle I can actually see heads laying against (and moving against) the sides of the eggs.
As well with this clutch I can see patterning through the eggs... all shades of groovy.
I am cutting on day 54, Tuesday August 26th... but my other clutch did not dimple like this, the babes were slow to come out of the eggs, and the hatchlings were not near this busy.
Any chance this may mean they are getting ready to pip early? This is only my second clutch so I still feel like a complete noob/boob.
I still have nice strong veins in every egg, and am pretty happy. Like I said this female is by far my favorite snake. Sweetest of all sweet snakes she is. To get 9 babes from her is just an absolute rush and a gift.
