i went to a pet store today to get food, but they didn't have enough frozen, so my boyfriend was asking the lady about lighting and tepms. she saisd as long as i can keep her temp rught for now that i don't need a heat spot, but when winter comes i will and i'll need a semi bigger red light. i dont right now because my room is already in the mid 80's during the day and the upper 70's at night.

Pet stores are rarely going to give you proper advice, and more often than not, animals suffer in their care.

I trust the respected breeders at New England Reptile and VPI. You can't find better or more accurate information from people who have dedicated their lives to learning, understanding and breeding blood pythons.

It's always up to the keeper to stay on top of the most accurate and up to date advice. We can't force you to read anything, but I personally hope you don't listen to a pet store on snake husbandry.
