Possible RI? Please help!
I think Mr. Marv has an RI.
Last night when I took him out to clean his enclosure he was making an intermittent, quiet whistling noise. It's not his hiss, but something else, and I thought OH NO - RI! I don't see any other symptoms, ie bubbles around mouth and nose, "star-gazing", etc. He only (right now, at least) has the whistle. He's pretty active still, and today is feeding day, so we'll see if he eats.
His stats:
He's in a glass 10 gallon tank with a screen top. I've covered the screen about 85% with foil. I use paper towel as substrate. His hot side temp is normally around 92.5, though I've notice it drop to 90 a couple times, even with the t-stat. Cool side is about 80-85, depending on the room temp. I know that's not ideal, but we've had some weird weather here. I just got an a/c, so hopefully I can keep the temps from fluctuating as much. His humidity has been a huge problem this last week or so. It was hovering around 55%-60%, but with the heat it keeps dropping to 40%, even though I mist (causing a spike to 70%-75%) and try to keep damp paper towels wadded up in the corners.
Sorry this is so long, but I wanted to give everyone as much info as I could. If this sounds like the beginnings of an RI, I will take him to the vet ASAP.
Thanks in advance, everyone!
