My ball escaped about 7 weeks ago. We did everything we could to find him and eventually gave up. Tonight, I walked into the living room and there he was, out of nowhere, not having seen a sign of him in 7 weeks, he was curled up in the middle of the floor. I redid his enclosure (I had eventually cleaned it out) and put him in there. He went straight to the water and began drinking for a long time, then soaked in it and then climbed onto his perch to lay under his light. Are there any suggestions you have? I have looked him over, etc. to make sure there were no obvious signs of sickness or wounds, but is there anything you suggest I specifically watch for? I don't know where he went when he got out, just that he came back and he does have some blue on his head. I can't figure out what it could possibly be. It didn't wash off, the top of his head is tinged blue like he got into some type of chemical....
