Indoor vegetable gardens w/ pics
Just wanted to share. I bought a few baby plants from the store, but I got a warning from the condo association saying that fruit and vegetable plants aren't allowed on patios.
I used my wardrobe closet, and quickly outgrew it, so I built a 4' x 2.5' x 7' PVC greenhouse in my snake room. Everything's doing great under a 250w HPS, 400w MH and a few high output CFs. I'm mostly using soil, but I built aeroponic gardens for some of the herbs and smaller pepper plants. I plan to make a big aeroponic cloner so I have a fresh supply year around.
I'm ending up saving electricity because the 400w MH and ballast heat my snake room to 80-81 for 18 hours a day so I was able to take out the 1000w heater that I was running 24/7. All the lights add up to about 850w running either 18 or 12 hours a day. Sorry for the dark pics, but the lights really throw off the exposure.
Vegies:
Jalapenos, pimentos, red bell peppers, yellow celebrity tomatos, roma tomatos, plum tomatos, Japanese eggplant, zucchini squash, carrots, beets, radishes.
Herbs:
A few different basils, thyme, oregano, mint, fennel, cilantro, sage.
