I just picked up a GIANT ( must be high 3000 or more, my scale doesn't go that high) " female" ( probe tomorrow) BP that I " rescued" she was 60$ from this lady. She has some rough spots on her scales...was kept on a heating pad, " the rat chewed through the hot (snakeburn) rock" in a plexiglass coffetable with no humidity, she had stuck sheds and I was told that she " can tell the difference between a rat and a kitten, she didn't eat the kitten, but chose the rat"some people???
Anyway she has a pretty severe nose rub, from the broken window screen and rock used to hold it down. What should I clean the rub with: antibacterial soap and water or hydrogen peroxide (diluted) or some chlorhexadine spray
After that can I use a lite application of Neosporin or what?
Thanks, this is my first BP "injury" so any info. would be greatly appreciated.
PS) She has been an only reptile for many years and otherwise appears to be in pretty good shape considering the neglect, how long should I quarantine?
