Do not attempt to adjust your monitor - she really IS this cute!
One kitty is awesome, right? But TWO kitties, well - you can't get much better than that!
After getting Karl to agree to bringing this girl home for a "trial run", I believe he has been completely captivated by her. I think he fully intended to agree to the trial period to only say that one kitty was enough. By noon yesterday, he was completely smitten and had named her Alexis - or Lexi for short. I call her Princess Alexis - because she has established her role firmly as "Daddy's Girl".
He's still resisting that title right now, as he reminds me that they are both MY kitties, but HE'S the one that puts a blanket in his lap so that she'll be comfortable while she naps. He's the one that I wake up to at six this morning saying "be careful - don't squish Lexi (to find him playing with her in bed). He's the one who has very gravely told me "now you be sure you say her name to her a lot so that she learns it".
Karl has never had a kitten in his life. He "inherited" my three kitties that have now passed on. I brought her home Thursday and he didn't get to see her until he got home Thursday night after I'm in bed asleep. I wake up hearing "my gosh you're little!!!!" and "oh my goodness - you're so tiny!"
And then he got to spend time alone with her yesterday morning without my influence and saying "see, isn't she adorable".
Sammy is getting lots of personal attention from me, but the two of them play together, even IF he wants me to believe he's far to dignified for such juvenile games!
If Karl had decided that he still felt one kitty was more than enough - I did have a great home with a co-worker lined up. Actually, several people have threatend to steal her from me.
Meet Lexi - very possibly, "the cutest kitten in the world"!
